Members of the Board of Officers serve from January to December of each calendar year.

Our Location


Our SCHGS home is located in the Sullivan County Archives in historic downtown Blountville, Tennessee. Our members support the Sullivan County Archives in its preservation efforts of regional history and genealogy. Come see what's happenin'! You won't believe the wealth of information at the Archives!


The SCHGS Journal


Family Membership fees are $25.00 and Student Memberships are $15.00. Annual memberships are due and payable on January 1 of each year, and may be made mailed to SCHGS, P.O. Box 568, Blountville, TN 37617.


Each member of the Sullivan County Genealogical Society will receive our SCHGS Journal, a semiannual publication printed in the Spring and Fall of each year. Each issue of the journal contains approximately 80 to 100 pages of historical and genealogical information about Sullivan County and thesurrounding areas of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
