The Sullivan County Historical and Genealogical Society offers the following historical and genealogical publications, with limited quantities available on some of these. Books may be ordered from SCHGS, P.O. Box 568, Blountville, TN 37617.
SCHGS Journal
A semiannual publication, each issue of the SCHGS Journal contains 80 to 100 pages of historical and genealogical information on Sullivan County and surrounding areas of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. The publication is free to members of the Sullivan County Historical and Genealogical Society. Family Memberships are $25.00 and Student Memberships are $15.00, payable to SCHGS, PO Box 568, Blountville, TN 37617. Submissions to the SCHGS Journal are free to members and nonmembers.

We have only a few copies of this hardbound volume remaining. This huge, oversized book contains an enormous amount of area history, along with over 950 family stories! Copies are $73 plus $5 shipping.

Copies are $69 plus $5 shipping.
Pictorial History of Sullivan County, Tennessee
Copies are $43.50 plus $5 shipping. Published in 1998, this book is the result of a 1-year project and contains many well-identified photographs of many Sullivan County pioneers, homes, schools, and farms. Published by Turner Publishing Company, this hard-bound, limited-edition book is approximately 8-1/2" x 11", and contains 160 pages of photos.
Sullivan County Veterans History
Copies are $43.50 plus $5 shipping. Published in 2000, this hardbound volume contains over 100 pages of veteran family histories and photographs. The book includes photos and information about many Sullivan Countians who served in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, National Guards, Coast Guards, and more. Several historical conflicts are referenced in the book, and these include the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War, the Korean War, Vietnam war, and more.
